    Dr. Sarah has been a veterinarian for over 15 years in the Roseville area. She founded Faithful Friend because she believes that a home euthanasia is a loving, peaceful way let your pet end their life surrounded by the people they love in the home they are comfortable in.

    Since being founded in 2017 we are grateful to have helped more than three thousand pets and their families in our local communities with a dignified and peaceful transition for their beloved pet. Our goal is to continue to make a comfortable end of life attainable for as many pets as possible.

    Roseville, Rocklin, Lincoln, Granite Bay, Citrus Heights, Folsom, Carmichael, Fair Oaks, Loomis, Antelope, Natomas, Rio Linda, Elverta, and Parts of Sacramento including North Sacramento, Downtown, and East Sacramento

    Additional fee for other outlying areas including: West Sacramento, South Sacramento (South of Highway 50), Greenhaven/Pocket, Yuba City, Marysville, Auburn, Rancho Cordova, El Dorado Hills.

  • In Home Euthanasia Appointment - $375

    Includes an initial telephone/text/e-mail consultation with Dr. Sarah to discuss if it is the right time to euthanize your pet (if needed), going over any questions you have, and setting up an appointment time.

    Dr. Sarah will travel to your home at the agreed window of time and provide everything needed for sedation and humane euthanasia of your beloved pet. Cremation of your pet is an additional fee which includes the transportation and making the arrangements with the crematorium (see Cremation Services page).

    Please note: *For pets over 35 pounds Dr. Sarah will require that someone be available to help her lift the pet if you wish for her to make cremation arrangements for you or there will be an additional charge to arrange for the crematory to pick up after the appointment.

    For after regular hours (4 pm or later) Monday through Friday there will be an additional $100 fee if Dr. Sarah is available to accommodate these requests. Please note that currently evening appointments are extremely limited and are only available in the Roseville area.

    Travel fee $100 areas outside of our normal coverage area including West Sacramento, South Sacramento (South of Hwy 50), Greenhaven/Pocket, Yuba City, Marysville, Auburn, Woodland, Rancho Cordova, or El Dorado Hills. Contact Dr. Sarah for prices for additional areas if available.

  • Cremation - Prices Vary

    If you do not have aftercare plans for your pets remains such as home burial or taking them to a crematory yourself, then Dr. Sarah can provide transportation of your pet to a local licensed crematorium. We offer either a communal cremation or a private cremation. For a communal cremation NO ashes will be returned to you. A private cremation means that your pet will be individually cremated in a private chamber and their ashes will be returned in a wooden box urn either by pickup at the crematory or mailing to your home (for a $25 shipping fee)

    Cremation fees are not included in the fee for the euthanasia appointment.

    Please note that if your pet is between 35 and 125 pounds someone must be available to assist with moving your pet into our vehicle. If your pet is over 125 pounds we can no longer provide transportation for those pets. For pets over 125 pounds we can help arrange for the crematory to pick up from your house which will be an additional $95 fee. This must be arranged in advanced to make sure the crematory can accomodate the request.

Payment Options

Faithful Friend accepts payment in the form of cash, checks, and all major credit cards.  We understand that sometimes this is an unexpected expense when a pet declines quickly.  We do offer payment plans from ScratchPay which is a company that provides short term loan for veterinary services.  If you are interested please visit www.scratchpay.com and fill out an application to find out if you have been approved.  When prompted for the veterinary clinic type in Faithful Friend.

 We also provide $30 discount on the euthanasia visit to seniors (over age 65) and to veterans.  Note- this discount is is for the euthanasia only, not cremation services and you must request the discount when you book your appointment.
